The dialogue
- Claire
Right, thank you all for being here. The aim of this meeting is to review where we are with the app launch.
- Hugo
On the development side, we have fallen behind. The payment tests revealed several bugs.
- Claire
How long would you need to fix them?
- Hugo
At least two weeks, if we want to do things properly.
- Aïcha
Deux semaines ? Ça me paraît compliqué.
Two weeks? That seems difficult to me. The marketing campaign is already scheduled for the 15th.
- Hugo
I understand, but launching an app that crashes at checkout would be worse.
- Claire
You are both right. Aïcha, would it be possible to push the campaign back by a week?
Au-delà, on perd nos espaces publicitaires.
One week, yes, provided we warn the agency today. Beyond that, we lose our advertising slots.
- Hugo
If we focus on the blocking bugs first, one week could be enough.
- Claire
Very good. So we are going for a launch on the 22nd. Hugo, will you send me a progress update every two days?
- Hugo
Pas de souci, je m’en occupe.
No problem, I’ll take care of it.
And I’ll call the agency right after the meeting to confirm the new schedule.
- Claire
Parfait.
Perfect. I’ll write up the minutes and send them to you this afternoon.
- Aïcha
Merci Claire. Bon courage à l’équipe technique !
Thank you, Claire. Good luck to the tech team!

Cultural note
In many French companies, colleagues use « tu » with each other and call their manager by her first name. A meeting often ends with a written « compte rendu » that sums up the decisions and says who does what.
