C’est très lumineux ! Il y a un ascenseur dans l’immeuble ?
It’s very bright! Is there a lift in the building?

- Julien
Et la chambre donne sur la rue ?
And does the bedroom look onto the street?
- The estate agent
Non, sur la cour, donc c’est calme. La salle de bains a été refaite récemment.
No, onto the courtyard, so it’s quiet. The bathroom was redone recently.

Le loyer est de combien, exactement ?

D’accord. Et pour le dossier, quels documents faut-il fournir ?
All right. And for the application, which documents do I need to provide?

Cultural note
In France, a « deux-pièces » has two main rooms, a living room and a bedroom, not counting the kitchen and the bathroom. Landlords often ask for a « garant », a person who will pay the rent if the tenant cannot.
